Sony is pleased to announce the successful showcase at BroadcastAsia 2008 in Singapore and would like to thank you for your participation. More than 16,000 attendees (conference delegates, exhibitors and visitors) turned up during the 4-day event, with a total of 717 exhibiting companies and 9 group pavilions featured a wide spectrum of leading-edge digital technologies.

Sony’s major showcase at BroadcastAsia this year includes the new XDCAM™ HD 422 camcorder and deck to HDV family with hybrid media flexibility and XDCAM EX™ solid-state system and up to the newly announced F35 CineAlta™ camera systems.
 
Sony today introduced the new additions to its XDCAM EX video production suite. The PMW-EX3 camcorder, the PMW-EX30 deck, and the PHU-60K professional hard-disk unit made the first regional debut at BroadcastAsia 2008.

At BroadcastAsia 2008, Sony is announcing the recent adoptions of XDCAM HD technology by various customers in diverse applications. Australian production companies Charter Broadcast and Digital Imagineers, as well as production company Video Channel from Hong Kong, are adopting the PDW-700 camcorders and PDW-HD1500 recording decks for the Summer Games in Beijing and HD production respectively.
